Enhancing Current Systems
Wyke Farms pack a variety of cheese products for all major retailers in a state of the art factory in Wincanton. They are at the forefront of new technology for production and IT systems. With knowing the site team for over 10 years (across a number of sites), following a meeting at the PPMA, the team were invited to site to review current systems, including paperless checks, label verification and system support.
Faedah Solutions carried out a full site survey, reviewing the current label verification system, production paperwork (to assist with move to paperless) and current labeling and printer systems.
Following the review and site discussions, enhancements to the current system was agreed. Ethernet connectivity was added to the current site scanners to allow quicker remote support connectivity for fault finding and to allow connectivity by the site engineering team to configure scanners if issues where reported by the operations team. The install was followed up by a training session with the site engineering team, by Paul Unwin (Technical Operations Director), to ensure the required knowledge was imparted to the team.
A full review was carried out of current paperwork used on site and any other automated systems. A review report was generated as to what system could be used to capture the required paperwork information and how different systems could be linked together into a central reporting system.
Following the successful installation of the ethernet connectivity, engineering training and paperwork review, the site didn’t hesitate to sign upto a Faedah Solutions 24/7, 365 Support Contract. Giving them support when they need it, site reviews, training, discounts on spares and peace of mind.
Further projects are now planned to take the site further on a paperless journey.
“I would just like to say how happy we all are since we began our contract with Faedah. The system improvements and installations so far, together with the training given out, are going to be a massive help to us to fault find our new replacement install. Glad to have your business”
