Label Verification (Autocoding) Support
Ichiban UK Ltd produce a variety of sushi products for a number of major retailers. They have 4 production lines and a case labelling line. Packs are labelled and then hand placed into cases before being palletised. The team at Faedah Solutions have known the management team at Ichiban for several years and built a strong working relationship. Knowing that the team where experienced in scanning and label verification systems, the Faedah team were approached to offer support for the current OEM label verification system installed on site. This consists of touch screen terminals, cognex barcode scanners and printer control. The 24/7, 365 support contract offered everything the site required. Following an initial site review, the support team rectified a couple of network issues, scanner configurations and repaired a couple of scanners that hadn’t been used for a number of years. The support, repairs and spares packages offered are extremely competitive which has helped the site with cost savings.
Faedah Solutions’ Technical Operations Director, Paul Unwin was pleased to be able to support another site , especially one we have had a long working relationship with. We try and make the transition to our support as seamless as possible.
The site are now looking at additional Faedah systems to enhance their current quality systems, such as Check Sure® Perception. If the site wish to upgrade to the Check Sure® Autocoding system in the future, this would be a seamless action as most of the hardware currently in place can be re-used.
